This article mainly covers the issues that PNG is having with sex trafficking. Young people and especially women are mostly the victims of sex trafficking. Young people are being used for different reasons. People are complaining that the government is not trying to stop this growing issue, only regulate it. Also, some people are saying that the government is part of the sex trade and is gaining revenue from it.
I was disgusted when reading this article. Sex trafficking is despicable and should be illegal. I hope the facilitators get what they deserve, even the government officials who don't try to stop this heinous crime. Also, I hope for peace for the young people being forced into this whole ordeal and that they can find peace and tranquility for the rest of their lives.
This is related to politics in that some government officials are using sex trafficking for money or even power. This is a huge problem for Papua New Guinea and will be tough to totally wipe out. With the corrupt officials and lack of proper law keeping, this whole ordeal could last a very long time.
