This articles mainly covers the problem of pollution that is happening in the Maldives. From these pictures, we can see the once beautiful beaches of the Maldives being used as a dumping site for all of its waste. Beach-goers would now have to deal with the trash while surfing. The trash could also affect the indigenous animals that live there as well. All in all, the growing waste of the Maldives is becoming more of a problem, even today it still grows.
While reading this article I was upset and shocked. I have always thought that the Maldives were very clean and natural, unlike most developed countries. However, this article proves that the Maldives also has problems with pollution and the toll it's taking on the environment. It was most upsetting when I saw that the once beautiful beach being turned into a waste ground. I hate to see such marvelous natural creations being destroyed by humans. It is most displeasing.
Since tourism is very important to the Maldives industry, this article deals heavily in the Maldives' culture. If the problem of pollution is not stopped, then the entire population will be forced to change their lifestyle or even be forced to leave their homeland. To people who live off of fishing or other ocean related jobs, it would be critical if this problem is not resolved.
